Class Structure

The basic class outline will be as follows:

15-minute warmup based on different movement disciplines (yoga, tai-chi, calesthenics)

Footwork warmup with combined hand mechanics

Initial technique(s) of the session

Water/snack break

Further technique instruction and drill

FOR SKILLS PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE CLASSES:

At the end of the term (about 10 weeks), students may opt to perform in Skills Proficiency Testing with the SAFD. This consists of performed scenes involving violence, adjudicated by an SAFD Fight Master. Testing is optional, and additional fees will apply.
